Outreach
The number of people diagnosed with mental health struggles, like anxiety and depression, is growing and has only been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, our young people are struggling: suicide is the second leading cause of death for teenagers. The Ed Lally Foundation believes that the time is now to raise awareness of mental health and create a community that understands that hope and healing are tangible. The Ed Lally Foundation’s programs are proactive and provide real tangible tools and resources to help in everyday lives.
We have a variety of in person and virtual offerings to de-stigmatize mental health struggles and to equip youth and adults with an increased mental health awareness, understanding and coping strategies. We are located in Harford County and provide in person events for the surrounding Maryland area. We also have a series of virtual and in person events available for all communities within the United States.
We believe that no one should be denied access based on their income level and as a result, most of our events are free and open to all those in the community. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation or gender identity), national origin, disability or age.
