SOMEBODY

In the Fall of 2023, the Ed Lally Foundation (ELF) launched the SOMEBODY campaign to remind individuals that they are not alone in their mental health struggles, and to encourage them to reach out for support.

The campaign itself was inspired by the song “Somebody” from musicians turned mental health advocates Big Infinite. The band’s been playing the song live and in-person over the last year at ELF’s “Power of Expression” mental health awareness and suicide prevention events, everywhere from schools to military bases.

The SOMEBODY campaign aims to expand the impact of the song and its mental health message throughout social media and beyond through a variety of online content normalizing mental health struggles and highlighting local support resources like 1-800-NEXT-STEP and national resources like the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The SOMEBODY campaign will also include a short film and music video from director Tommy Duncan focused specifically on Men’s Mental Health. Be on the lookout for the debut of the video on World Mental Health Day, October 10.
